Betty is concerned with celebrating beauty and joy in the world through personal and group identities. Seeking answers as to what it means to be human, Betty explores the fickle nature of conforming or defying identity constructs around us. Nostalgia, vulnerability and naivety feature heavily in Betty’s images often capturing subjects in a playful yet honest manner whilst questioning whats beneath their projected identity. She enjoys interpreting masculine and femenine ‘ideals’ in different ways throughout her documentary and fashion works, either pushing archaic categorisation, or dwindling on blurred lines.

Highlights of Betty’s career so far include photographing ‘Train Spottings’ director Danny Boyle for the cover of Headliner Magazine, shooting BTS shots for Molly Goddards SS20 collection, and being heavily involved in both London Design Festival and Design Junction (2016-2019).
